GRAND Mental Health, Stillwater, Oklahoma earned Highly Commended recognition in the 2026 Project of the Year: International New Build category presented by the Design in Mental Health Network.
The Continuum of Care campus consolidates two locations into one comprehensive facility offering a multitude of services to all ages. The design meets current programming requirements and allows for ease of expansion in the future as required. The three wings accommodate different functions and are connected by smaller transitional spaces woven with outdoor courtyards, landscapes with seating that can be utilized for counseling or general recreating. The interior strives to be light, open, and flexible, with views to the exterior from every room. Natural color and organic form enhance the biophilic quality of the space. Light wells reinforce circadian rhythms. Exterior landscaping highlights seasonal changes. Interaction with the natural environment promotes wellbeing in caregivers and clients.
